9. Children/Minors.
We recognise the privacy interests of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children’s online activities and interests. Children under the age of 18 may not register for an account or register for or purchase Courses.
Individuals over the age of 13 but under the age of 18 may only use the Services with the involvement, supervision, and approval or a parent or legal guardian - in such cases the parent or legal guardian must register for their account or purchase the product or services, and it is the parent or guardian that accepts the terms of this policy.
It should also be noted that there are elements of profanity in some of our course and resource material which should be monitored by parents or guardians as to appropriateness for persons aged between 13 and 18, and in such cases parents or guardians should exercise parental guidance.
10. Subscriptions and Cancellation Policy
Some of our products and memberships are based on a Subscription Model where repeat payments are taken on a weekly, monthly, or yearly basis depending on the product you have chosen. It will be clearly stated for each product at the point of sale, whether this is a subscription product and if it is, what the price and frequency of the subscription is.
After the sale an email will be sent to you with the receipt of your subscription. You can cancel or suspend this Subscription by emailing our support team. You may cancel the subscription at any time and with no cancellation fees. None of our subscription products carry a minimum subscription term nor a setup or introductory fee.
With all of our subscription products, cancellation will restrict access only after the time period you had originally paid for has elapsed. For example, if you purchased a subscription product on day 1 which was a 30 day frequency and cancelled on day 15, you would continue to have access for another 15 days until the paid term has ended. If however the product was refunded your access will be revoked immediately.
If you ever have any issues or concerns or questions about your data, please see our Privacy Policy for clarification and for details on how to contact us for help.
11. Forums
Our forums, including our mentoring forums are intended to be a useful, inspiring and engaging place to discuss topics. To this end, GFTB will not tolerate any abusive behaviour to our staff, or to other forum members. We will also not tolerate any illegal behaviour or activity, including but not limited to sexism, racism, bigotry, homophobia, ageism, nastiness, unnecessary profanity or meanness in general. Please respect each other in the forums.
Please also note that any illegal activity will (as with all our forum content) be recorded and passed to the relevant authorities.
Our forums are moderated, but in no way reflect the views or opinions of GFTB, nor do we take any responsibility nor liability for any content therein. Where views are expressed by forum moderators or administrators, these views are their own and not those of GFTB.
All users must act in a responsible, safe and pleasant way - GFTB reserve the right to delete content, and block/bar users from the forum - be nice to each other!
12. Refund Policy
We comply with UK and EU law on refunds. We offer a full refund on all goods and services purchased up to 12 days after the original purchase date. The following exceptions apply: In the case of purchasing a subscription which comes with a free trial, the free trial period is considered time enough to evaluate the product, and as your payment details were entered at the point of purchase, this is considered the purchase point, therefore the trial period will be included within the refundable time-period.
In the case of individually sold online courses the user must have completed less than 50% of the course to qualify for a refund.
In the case of tickets, events, workshops, webinars, conferences, awards ceremonies and face-to-face courses we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee which is relevant to the amount of time before the event the purchase is cancelled. If the user cancels before 1 week of the event start date there will be a full refund, if the user cancels between 1 week and 48 hours of the start date the cancellation fee will be 50% of the purchase price and if the user cancels within 48 hours of the start date the cancellation fee will be 100% of the purchase price. We do not offer refunds after the purchased event has passed.
